Garden-Fresh Breakfast: Sausage, Apple, and Brussels Sprouts

This dish is so simple that I hesitate even to call it a ‘recipe,’ but it is so tasty and such a perfect way to use up some of that garden produce – simply too good not to share! So here is my new favorite breakfast: pork sausage, Brussels sprouts, and apple.

Shred up however many Brussels sprouts you have from the garden – I ended up with about a cup and a half on this particular day – and then chop up an apple. Take about six ounces of pork sausage and start it to cooking in the pan. When it is slightly browned and has created a nice layer of grease in the bottom of your pan, add in the sprouts and apple. Cook until the sausage is done and the produce is softened. Then dig in!

I am sharing this post at Hunk of Meat Monday, Tempt My Tummy Tuesday, and Let’s Do Brunch.

We all thank you for an easy recipe. The idea of matching up these three is fantastic. I am a fan of turkey sausage, brussels sprouts and apple. I am a three way winner.

Thanks for sharing this at Let’s Do Brunch.
