Fitness Friday for August 3

I am 30 weeks pregnant today, and still feeling strong and energetic for my workouts, though I do wish that the garage gym was just a little bit cooler. I did a couple of ‘greasing the groove’ workouts this week; partially because my groove-greasing last week was so effective, partially because Mark suggested it, and partially because I did not want to get up early enough to get in a full workout and shower before going to work. In any case, groove-greasing was very effective for me again this week.

Saturday

Greasing the groove: 400 5lb one-legged deadlift squats over the course of the day – this workout was so effective last week that I decided to work it into the rotation again

Sunday

12-9-6-3
Front squats (18lbs)
Push press (33lbs)
Pull-ups

Monday

Yoga for about 30 minutes, mainly focused on flexibility

Tuesday

21-15-9
Weighted step-ups (53lbs)
Deadlifts (75lbs)
Pull-ups

Wednesday

Greasing the groove again: 250 push-ups over the course of the day

Thursday

25 each:
Kettlebell swings (26lbs)
Pull-ups
Deadlifts (75lbs)
Push-ups
Weighted step-ups
Kettlebell clean and jerk – left arm (18lbs)
Kettlebell clean and jerk – right arm (18lbs)
