Fitness Friday

This is what I have been up to for the past week. Aside from a long workout on Saturday, I have been taking it fairly easy. I have been taking very few rest days lately. Since becoming pregnant I have been increasingly concerned about my health and fitness (I want my little one to have a healthy heart!) that I have been moving pretty much non-stop, and lately I have felt it starting to catch up with me. So I am resolving to take it a bit easier – the shorter CrossFit workouts and yoga are a testament to that – and take more long, leisurely walks with Dakota. She loves it, I love the gorgeous weather, seeing the sun shining is a wonderful pick-me-up, and I can be active without putting stress on my body.

Saturday

4 rounds for time:
Run 400m
30 box jumps
30 wall ball

Sunday

Rest

Monday

Warm-up 3×3 deadlift (75lbs)
5×5 deadlift (95lbs)
Warm-up 3×3 strict press (33lbs)
5×5 strict press (38lbs)
5×5 ring dips

Tuesday

3 rounds for time:
5 pull-ups
10 back squats (33lbs)
15 push jerks (33lbs)
20 kettlebell swings (26lbs)
11:30

Wednesday

Yoga – about 30 minutes, beginning with some stretching to take care of my rather tight hamstrings, then lots of warrior poses for strength

Thursday

Tabata deadlifts (75lbs) – 75
Tabata push-ups – 83
(Tabata intervals are :20 of work and :10 of rest, repeated for eight rounds)

That was my morning workout. In the afternoon I did FarmFit – working on the farm, mowing grass, stooping in the garden, shoveling bedding for the animals.
