A very CrossFit-ty week this week, along with the requisite walking of the dog – thank goodness for the nicer weather we have been having lately!
Yoga – about 45 minutes, focused on the lower body
20 kettlebell swings (26lb)
20 overhead walking lunges (10lb)
20 knees to elbows
20 box jumps
20 wall ball (6lb)
20 thrusters (20lb)
20 sumo deadlift high pulls (33lb)
*2 burpees between each*
First thing in the morning I did some weightlifting just to wake all of my muscles up – 5×5 deadlifts at 105lbs and 5×5 press and 38lbs – and then in the afternoon I did some farm fit – two hours of shoveling hauling bedding to the lean-to, and spreading it out for the steers.
As many rounds as possible in 12 minutes:
10 push jerk (33lb)
10 KB swings (26lb)
10 box jumps
7 rounds minus 5 box jumps
50 lunges and 50 squats for a warm-up, and then . . .
As many rounds as possible in 18 minutes:
3 rounds +15 pull-ups + 200m
5 rounds for time:
6 deadlift (75lbs)
6 knees to elbows
6 push ups
6 lunges (right leg)
6 lunges (left leg)
6 push jerk (38lbs)
Rest! And about time . . . both my upper body and lower body were both a bit sore. But this afternoon I will be back to the gym again.
